Ask for email before sharing a resource
A clear purpose, a valid address, and the boundary of marketing consent.
Explain why you ask
The optional email question belongs in a flow where the person expects it. Write your own purpose, such as providing a requested resource, and link to the actual privacy policy where appropriate.

- Edit the question and next message in your own voice.
- Try a valid and invalid reply in the preview.
An invalid reply does not release the final link. The person must provide the address themselves; the app does not take it from their profile. Follow-up messages respect the window after an actual interaction.
Capturing an address is not newsletter signup
You can see the contact and export it. Transferring it to an email tool does not create marketing consent. Before using it for another purpose, clarify your authority and own information notice; do not promise processing that differs from your configuration.
